SCOPE OF SEO
Search engine
optimization (SEO) is a set of rules and techniques aimed at improving the SERP
rank of the web pages of a website. SEO is a part of Internet Marketing. About
60% of the searches done in the search engine are unique. And now-a-days the
usage of search engines has increased a lot. So we optimize our web pages in
the search engine.
The first process is keyword research. Now, people conduct keyword research for a variety of reasons,
utilize different tools, and even employ more than one methodology. We have
used several methodologies for keyword research. Search engine optimization has
to incorporate a survey of keywords at some level so as to define a query space. If we cannot describe the query space that we are optimizing for,
we cannot optimize very well (but we can still optimize for the long tail of
search).
Another process is the assessment of assets and resources. It is important to list how many Web sites need to be worked
and what online resources should be optimized. It’s not mere
“linking resources” but
rather ALL resources: Web design, promotional tools, widgets, forums, blogs,
services, etc.
The next process is the site review. There is no one correct method for performing a site review but
certainly we want to offer a very thorough review, outlining what are the
strengths and weaknesses and proposing changes, additions, or deletions which may
help the search engine optimization process. Site reviews are one of the most critical
components of search engine optimization. There can be a chance for stumbling
without keyword research but we cannot move without a site review.
Another process is the intervention — essentially the process by which it is described the changes that
are required to make them.
The link building process — The link building process does not have to be time consuming
— it just needs to be efficient.
The evaluation is preliminary to the monitoring process. Many SEOs don’t
formally evaluate the work they’ve done prior to monitoring because it’s almost
second nature. We closely follow up and monitor couple of times before we are
done with an evaluation.
